Job Description - Analyst - Run the Bank, Cards (Wealth Management)
Morgan Stanley is building out an industry-leading deposits and cash management offering, that capitalizes on the acquisitions of E*TRADE and Shareworks.We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Associate to join the Morgan Stanley Private Banking Group’s Deposits and Cash Management Product Management team. The team is responsible for a variety of deposit and payment products, with an emphasis on driving a holistic and engaging product experience spanning payments, sweep deposits, savings, checking, and CDs. The ideal candidate is motivated to quickly learn the product set in support of the expansion of the Deposits and Cash Management business and ensure that we meet business, firm, and regulatory expectations. This is an opportunity to join a US Based team, focused on innovation and growing deposits across all channels at Morgan Stanley. The Product Management team collaborates with cross functional partners including but not limited to: Legal, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Operations & Technology to discover, develop, build, enhance and grow deposits. We leverage competitor data, market insights and data to design solutions that meet customer needs, align to business goals and maximize revenue for the firm.Key Responsibilities * Day-to-day project management of key strategic Cards initiatives * Develop and manage detailed projects for future and ongoing initiatives * Ensure appropriate governance and documentation is in place for key initiatives * Partner with Client Experience to execute tactical and strategic product improvements * Manage internal training and product content for Cards and Cash Management, including building new content as needed and maintenance of existing content * Gather, review and compile Business Metrics to provide insight on the health of business * Identify additional BU level metrics to provide insight into growth of the business and risk management * Conduct ad hoc product reviews as needed across deposit products, checks and cards * Create and maintain decks and collateral using high level themes and information provided by product team * Conduct competitive analysis to be leveraged for business strategy decisionsExperience * Bachelor’s degree in Finance * 1-3 years of professional experience in product management or banking services * Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook * Demonstrated success working independently and meeting multiple deadlinesRequired Skills/Abilities * Detailed oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Strong communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills * Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment * Analytical & strategic thinker able to problem solve * Excellent relationship building capabilities in order to effectively collaborate with internal onshore partners * Self-starter who is able to work independently on multiple tasks; efficient time management skills and attention to detail * Possess strong sense of ownership/accountability * Great presentation and PowerPoint skills, with ability to put together cohesive, senior management-ready decks * Appreciate & encourage diversity of people, ideas & perspectives * Comfortable in fast- paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing training and learning opportunitiesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
