We are seeking a seasoned Android Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our mobile platforms. This is a pivotal role for someone who blends deep Android expertise with a product mindset, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about crafting cutting-edge mobile experiences that scale.
As a key technical leader, you’ll drive the end-to-end Android architecture—setting best practices, enabling efficient development workflows, and mentoring developers to build clean, modular, and maintainable codebases. Your decisions will shape the future of our mobile ecosystem and directly impact the experiences of millions of users.
🔧 What You’ll Do
Architect Scalable Solutions
Define and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture for Android apps.
Select the right tools, frameworks, and patterns to align with business goals and technical strategy.
Lead Development Initiatives
Spearhead development using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Hilt/Dagger, Navigation, etc.).
Drive adoption of architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
Elevate Code & Team Quality
Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and advocate for modular, testable, and clean code.
Mentor engineers and help grow technical leadership across the mobile team.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Partner with product managers, backend teams, and designers to deliver features from ideation to deployment.
Ensure seamless backend integrations, API design alignment, and intuitive user experiences.
Drive Innovation & Standards
Evaluate and introduce emerging tools, libraries, and methodologies.
Continuously improve development workflows and app performance through experimentation and research.
Ensure Security & Compliance
Implement secure development practices, safeguard user data, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
✅ What You Bring
10+ years of professional experience in mobile development with a strong Android focus.
Expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
Deep understanding of Jetpack libraries, Jetpack Compose, Room, WorkManager, and dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger.
Proven experience architecting large-scale consumer Android apps used by millions.
Strong foundation in multi-threading, background processing, app performance, and memory management.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and analytics SDKs (Firebase, Segment, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing frameworks, and Google Play Store release cycles.
⭐️ Nice to Have
Background in Fintech, eCommerce, or real-time, high-traffic applications.
Open-source contributions or published apps with significant user traction.
Working knowledge of security protocols, mobile encryption, and data privacy standards.
Experience with Jetpack Glance, Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), or wearable integrations is a plus.
