Application Architecture & Modernization Lead

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to perform deep technical analysis of a set of applications. The role will focus on application-level discovery, source code analysis, data model assessment, integration mapping, and creation of technical assessment artifacts.

The role will leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted software engineering techniques to accelerate understanding of existing applications and uncover technical, functional, and data-level consolidation opportunities. The engagement includes assessing multiple corrosion management, inspection, integrity, analytics, and compliance applications as part of PETRONAS' application harmonization initiative.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering techniques for application discovery, code analysis, architecture assessment, documentation generation, and modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

Technical Expertise

• 8–12 years of application development and technical leadership experience.

• Strong SQL and database analysis skills.

Architecture & Analysis

• Ability to understand large and complex enterprise applications quickly.


• Experience creating architecture diagrams, data models, and technical documentation.


• Strong understanding of application modernization and application portfolio rationalization concepts.


• Experience performing code-level and database-level assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oil & Gas domain exposure.


• SAP integration experience.


• Experience with application consolidation, harmonization, or modernization programs.


• Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and application portfolio management.
