Apps Development Group Manager - C14 - PUNE

The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President (SVP) with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Python, and Database technologies. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of modern technologies and the ability to drive innovation and technical excellence across the organization.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable and robust technology solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise in Java, Python, and Database management to guide teams and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with modern technologies and trends, and drive their adoption within the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies and align them with business objectives.
• Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, architecture, and database management.
• Drive the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java / Python programming languages with experience in ReactJs.
• Strong expertise in Database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern technology stacks, frameworks, and tools (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices, containerization, etc.).
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives and delivering impactful results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern data technologies such as Big Data, Data Lakes, or AI/ML frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or leadership programs.

• 15+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in applications development
• Experience in management
• Experience managing global technology teams
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
