Job Summary: As an Area Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our offline distribution network for packed food products across various cities in India. You will play a crucial role in building brand visibility, acquiring new customers, and ensuring optimal product placement and availability.

Responsibilities:

Market Expansion:

  • Identify and prioritize key cities and areas for distribution expansion based on market potential and company strategy.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and increase market share.

Distribution Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in assigned territories.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to distributors and retailers to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve sales targets and objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns to drive sales growth and brand awareness.

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and potential threats.
  • Provide feedback to management on market conditions, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct product training sessions for distributors, retailers, and sales team members to ensure they are well-versed with product features and benefits.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant documentation as required by management.
  • Analyze sales data and market insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive or similar role in the FMCG sector, preferably with exposure to packed food products.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels and experience in managing distributors and retailers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory and work independently.
  • Result-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
