We are currently looking for a Area Sales Manager  to join our team in Navi Mumbai, India. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Sales function. This position will report to Director Sales.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Job Overview:

Purpose : This role is responsible for achieving yearly sales targets and driving new business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue & Business Growth

  • Own and deliver annual sales targets of INR 30++ million with defined monthly and quarterly milestones.
  • Drive volume and value growth across assigned product lines and customer segments.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.

2. Profitability & Margin Management (Key Deliverable)

  • Ensure gross margin improvement through:
    • Pricing discipline
    • Cost optimization
    • Product and customer mix optimization
  • Evaluate deal profitability and ensure adherence to margin benchmarks.

3. New Business Development (25% KPI Weightage)

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and applications.
  • Convert prospects into long-term, sustainable revenue accounts.
  • Develop structured pipelines and track opportunity closures.

4. Strategic Partnerships & Key Account Development

  • Establish and manage strategic tie-ups to build and strengthen key accounts.
  • Develop long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Drive account penetration and cross-selling opportunities.

5. Regional Management & Market Development

  • Take complete ownership of sales, distribution, and customer engagement within the assigned region.
  • Strengthening channel partnerships and improve market coverage.
  • Monitor competitive activity and recommend market strategies.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare regular sales, margin, and pipeline reports for review.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, supply chain, and technical teams for seamless execution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and commercial guidelines.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of UPR products and applications (FRP, pipes, tanks, pultrusion, corrosion).
  • Understanding of resin processing parameters and fabrication methods.
  • Ability to support customer trials, product qualification, and technical coordination.
  • Working knowledge of pricing, cost drivers, and margin impact.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in B2B sales
