JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for Business Development Manager to join and help us in building the business. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Working with various sources, you will identify, develop & expand on new sales opportunities and be responsible for driving them to closure
- Facilitate joint account planning sessions frequent in-person meetings with business partners, OEM or Distributors
- Work with tech reps to help design use case and respond to client POCs
- Understand customer's buying cycle to be able to effectively forecast likely closure of opportunity
- Qualify prospects, ability to work in a digital setting via video conference and phone meetings and in-person meetings with planned field visits
- Professionally communicate with all appropriate levels of decision makers and influencers
- Develop a social presence through your rep page and social media to drive interest and leads.
- Build relationships of trust with key customer decision makers and experts
- Achieve revenue objectives based on territory assignment
- Through continuous personal development, you will become a regional seller and act as an influencer and trusted advisor for clients
- Understand the Digital End-to-End Processes
- Prospecting Skills (Hunter Skills) - confidence in prospecting strategies to identify new opportunities within existing territory and new logos
- Communications - (Video Engagement, Oral & Written)- sellers must be able to create engaging videos; ability to write an effective in-mail/email with internal teams, clients and business partners
- Digital Research - develop business acumen by understanding buyer personas, influencing factors affecting industries/clients and analyzing social media interactions, and competitive insights
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
- Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Candidate with some understanding on IBM products (like Middleware, API Connect or even Cloud) would be a plus.
- Maintains knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services better.
- Directs or coordinates supporting sales activities.
Business Development Manager Requirements:
- 7+ years in a solutions sales role with a consistent track record of achieving personal targets
- Proficient at using both digital & relevant sales tools & be confident in engaging peers and making connections
- Proficient for regular field visits and achieve your personal targets, maintain relationships
- Candidates with experience in selling automation, hybrid cloud, opensource platforms will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills and focus on client satisfaction
- Strong personal integrity and an affinity with technology
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
- Experience in sales, marketing or related field.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Good to have experience in IT sales in BFSI/NBFC domain.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
