Summary:

The Area Sales Manager (Modren Trade) plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and market expansion by overseeing the end-to-end execution of sales and marketing strategies. This position is responsible for achieving sales targets, building and leading high-performing MRF teams, and establishing a strong brand presence in the market. The role encompasses comprehensive product and sales management, including forecasting, pricing, merchandising, and distribution optimization. By developing consumer acquisition models, enhancing market intelligence, and ensuring seamless coordination across internal functions, the NKA Business Manager ensures operational excellence, brand visibility, and sustainable growth across assigned territories. The incumbent must maintain strict compliance with statutory, ISO, and audit requirements while delivering consistent performance and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and promote NKA business activities to achieve sales targets as defined in the business plan.
Build and develop high-performing MRF teams aligned with organizational objectives.
Establish and strengthen brand identity and market visibility through strategic initiatives.
Manage product lifecycle activities including demand forecasting, availability, listing, merchandising, shelf share, and pricing.
Oversee sales operations such as target achievement, margin optimization, promotions, and rental management.
Design and implement an effective consumer acquisition model to drive market penetration.
Monitor and evaluate the distribution network, channel marketing systems, and local buyer performance.
Identify business gaps and develop targeted sales promotional activities to address them.
Generate market intelligence and expand the distribution network to unlock new opportunities.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of sales realizations and outstanding receivables.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including BTL (Below The Line) activities.
Organize customer contract programs and proactively manage complaints and feedback.
Ensure the strategic placement and maintenance of Visi Coolers and Bottle Coolers across the market.
Guarantee timely product supply with minimal leakage, damage, and transit losses.
Maintain optimal product availability across all SKUs and variants at the city and town level.
Maximize manpower efficiency and foster team development through structured planning.
Prepare and submit daily and periodic MIS reports for performance tracking.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Sales, Operations, Quality, and Marketing.
Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, ISO standards, and audit requirements.
Perform any additional duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business management, or brand management within FMCG or related industries.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building distribution networks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MIS reporting and data interpretation.
Experience in team leadership, performance management, and talent development.
In-depth knowledge of product management, merchandising, and promotional planning.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Familiarity with statutory compliance, audit processes, and ISO standards.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
