Job Description - Assembly Line Production Engineer

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Assembly Line Production Engineer in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the air conditioner manufacturing sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. If you meet the requirements below, apply early as positions are limited.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble AC indoor and outdoor unit components as per SOPs

• Install compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, wiring harnesses and piping

• Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools and assembly equipment safely

• Perform leak testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging and functional testing

• Conduct in -process quality inspections and defect identification

• Achieve daily production targets and maintain line efficiency

• Follow PPE, 5S and workplace safety standards

• Support packaging, labeling and final inspection activities

Required Skills

• Assembly Operations – Understanding of production line assembly processes

• AC Components Knowledge – Familiarity with major HVAC components

• Hand Tools Usage – Ability to use assembly and measuring tools

• Quality Inspection – Visual inspection and defect detection skills

• Safety Compliance – Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices

Preferred Skills

• HVAC manufacturing experience

• Lean manufacturing / 5S exposure

• Basic troubleshooting of production equipment

Work Experience Requirements

Typical requirement: 1–5 years of experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, HVAC, or engineering environments. Experience in AC, refrigeration, appliance, or industrial assembly operations is preferred.

Education

Minimum: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, ECE or related field)

Preferred: Engineering Degree

Additional: Manufacturing or HVAC -related certifications
