Assembly Supervisor

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Assembly Supervisor in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. We are seeking skilled, motivated professionals capable of supervising assembly activities, coordinating production teams, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient shop-floor operations. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day assembly operations and ensure production activities follow established procedures.
  
• Allocate work to assembly operators and monitor completion against production targets.
  
• Monitor product quality during assembly and address process deviations promptly.
  
• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and stores teams to maintain smooth workflow.
  
• Identify assembly-line problems and support timely troubleshooting and corrective action.
  
• Ensure employees follow workplace safety procedures and proper operating practices.
  
• Maintain production, quality, rejection, and shift-related records.
  
• Guide assembly team members to improve productivity, quality, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  

Required Skills

1. Assembly Operations: Practical understanding of assembly processes and shop-floor workflow.
   
2. Production Supervision: Ability to monitor daily output and production targets.
   
3. Team Handling: Ability to allocate work and supervise assembly operators.
   
4. Quality Control: Knowledge of identifying defects and maintaining assembly quality.
   
5. Troubleshooting: Ability to identify production or assembly issues and coordinate corrective action.
   

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 5S practices.
  
• Familiarity with production documentation and reporting.
  
• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
  

Work Experience Requirements

The posting specifies 2 years of experience. Candidates should preferably have relevant experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or shop-floor supervision and be comfortable coordinating operators and monitoring production activities.

Education

• Minimum: Diploma / ITI / relevant technical qualification (typical for this role)
  
• Preferred: Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering (typical)
  
• Additional: 5S / Lean Manufacturing / Quality or Safety certification (typical, advantageous)
