Assistant Doctor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Doctor with an MBBS qualification to support our dermatology team, specializing in hair transplant procedures. The Assistant Doctor will work under the supervision of senior dermatologists and hair transplant surgeons, assisting with patient consultations, hair loss diagnoses, and the surgical process for hair restoration treatments. The role requires a solid foundation in dermatology, excellent patient care skills, and a willingness to learn advanced hair transplant techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Consultation and Assessment:
   

   • Assist in conducting initial consultations with patients seeking hair restoration treatments, including assessing medical histories and understanding patient concerns.
     

   • Perform detailed scalp examinations and document relevant findings related to hair loss patterns and conditions such as male and female pattern baldness, alopecia areata, and other scalp disorders.
     

   • Provide preliminary advice on hair restoration options and explain treatment plans under the guidance of the senior dermatologists or hair transplant surgeons.
     

2. Hair Loss Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
   

   • Assist in diagnosing the causes of hair loss through clinical evaluations and relevant diagnostic tests (e.g., scalp biopsy, blood tests, etc.).
     

   • Collaborate with the senior dermatologists and hair transplant surgeons to create personalized treatment plans, including non -surgical treatments like medications (Minoxidil, Finasteride) and PRP (Platelet -Rich Plasma) therapy.
     

   • Educate patients on the various hair transplant techniques, such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT).
     

3. Assisting in Hair Transplant Procedures:
   

   • Assist the surgeon in performing hair transplant surgeries, including FUE, FUT, and any other advanced hair restoration techniques.
     

   • Prepare the surgical area, sterilize tools, and ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.
     

   • Help in extracting hair follicles, implanting grafts, and providing assistance during the transplant procedure, ensuring the highest standards of care and accuracy.
     

4. Post -Surgery Care and Follow -up:
   

   • Provide post -operative care instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the necessary aftercare for optimal results.
     

   • Monitor patients' recovery and follow up regularly to track the progress of hair growth and address any issues such as infections or complications.
     

   • Assist in conducting follow -up consultations, assessing the success of the hair transplant, and offering additional treatments if needed.
     

5. Patient Education and Counseling:
   

   • Educate patients about maintaining healthy scalp and hair hygiene post -transplant, including advice on scalp massages, shampooing, and protecting transplanted follicles.
     

   • Advise on lifestyle changes or habits that may affect hair health, such as diet, stress management, and the use of appropriate hair care products.
     

6. Administrative and Documentation Support:
   

   • Ensure all patient records are accurately maintained, including consultation notes, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and surgical records.
     

   • Assist with scheduling appointments, follow -ups, and coordinating patient care for hair transplant procedures.
     

   • Order and manage medical supplies and equipment used during hair transplant procedures.
     

7. Collaboration with the Medical Team:
   

   • Work closely with the dermatology and hair transplant surgery team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
     

   • Participate in continuous education and training programs related to hair restoration techniques, skin health, and emerging trends in the field.
     

Qualifications:

• Education:
  

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from an accredited institution.
    

  • Interest or additional training in dermatology or hair restoration is preferred.
    

• Licensure:
  

  • Valid medical license to practice in [your region/country].
    

• Experience:
  

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in dermatology or hair transplant, is a plus but not required.
    

  • Fresh MBBS graduates with a keen interest in hair restoration are welcome to apply.
    

• Skills:
  

  • Basic knowledge of dermatology, especially in the context of hair loss, scalp disorders, and hair restoration techniques.
    

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, explaining treatments, and providing post -care instructions.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team of healthcare professionals.
    

Preferred Skills:

• Experience or exposure to assisting in hair transplant surgeries.
  

• Familiarity with modern hair restoration technologies such as PRP therapy and advanced hair transplant techniques.
