Assistant Engineer - Process

1. Process Monitoring & Control

Operate kiln, raw mill, coal mill, and cement mill systems through DCS/SCADA.

Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, and feed rates.

Take corrective actions to maintain stable plant operation.

2. Production Optimization

Ensure maximum production output with minimum fuel and power consumption.

Optimize kiln performance and grinding efficiency.

Coordinate with field operators for smooth plant running.

3. Quality Control Support

Maintain product quality as per target specifications.

Coordinate with QC department for clinker and cement quality adjustments.

Ensure proper raw mix and burning zone control.

4. Equipment & Safety Compliance

Ensure safe operation of all plant equipment and follow SOPs.

Identify abnormalities, alarms, and equipment issues and report immediately.

Support preventive maintenance and shutdown activities.

5. Coordination & Communication

Communicate effectively with shift teams, maintenance, and field staff.

Provide clear instructions to field operators during critical operations.

Maintain proper shift handover documentation.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Record daily production logs, process trends, and incident reports.

Maintain operational reports for review by senior management.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of cement manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of DCS/PLC automation systems.

Ability to analyze trends and troubleshoot process issues.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Safety-oriented mindset.
