Serve as a technical risk expert responsible for evaluating and managing agricultural insurance portfolios under the PMFBY and RWBCIS frameworks.
Bridge the gap between raw data and strategic decision -making by identifying various risks based on both Qualitative and Quantitative parameters.
Drive the Tender Analysis process by converting complex government data into actionable risk -return profiles for different state clusters.
Coordinate between specialized units like UW, Actuarial, Weather & Remote Sensing, and Field Operations to ensure a holistic approach to risk identification and risk mitigation.
2. Key Responsibilities
Qualitative Assessment: Evaluate non -numeric risk factors such as political environment, moral hazard (farmer behavior), local agronomic practices etc for specific crops.
Quantitative Modeling: Analyze historical yield data and Loss Ratio Trends under Yield Loss and Add -on cover scenarios to estimate future financial liabilities.
Tender Management: Lead the preparation and validation of large -scale data for government tenders and perform cluster -wise risk -return analysis for bidding.
Scheme Compliance: Good understanding of Operational Guidelines of PMFBY and Govt Tech initiatives.
Cross -Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Underwriting, Field, Operations, Weather/Remote Sensing, and Actuarial teams to refine risk strategies.
Policy Monitoring: Evaluate state -level policy changes and notifications that could impact the company's risk exposure.
Requirements
3. Requirements
Experience: 3–4 years of core experience in general insurance, specifically in Crop Insurance Risk Management for both PMFBY and RWBCIS.
Basic understanding of weather parameters and Remote Sensing indices (e.g., NDVI) used in crop health monitoring
Technical Efficiency: Advanced mastery of MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data cleaning for millions of rows) and high proficiency in all other MS Office tools.
Presentation Skills: Proven ability to create high -impact MS PowerPoint presentations for internal stakeholders and management reviews.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to identify data anomalies and perform gap analysis on diverse datasets.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective internal and external liaison.
4. Education Qualifications
Primary Degree: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Economics, Statistics, or Finance.
Preferred Postgraduate:MBA in Agribusiness or a master’s degree in Statistics/Economics is highly preferred for this role.
