Secheron Electrode Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading manufacturers of welding
consumables, is looking for a driven and technically sound Assistant Manager –
Production to join our SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) Electrodes
manufacturing division. You will oversee day -to -day production operations,
ensure quality benchmarks are met, and work closely with cross -functional teams
to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

• Plan, monitor, and
  control daily production of SMAW electrodes to meet output targets, quality
  standards, and delivery schedules.
  
• Supervise shop -floor
  teams including operators and technicians, ensuring adherence to SOPs and
  safety protocols.
  
• Coordinate with
  Quality Control to maintain product consistency as per IS, AWS, and EN
  standards for covered electrodes.
  
• Identify and
  implement process improvements to reduce waste, cycle time, and production
  costs.
  
• Maintain production
  records, MIS reports, and inventory of raw materials (flux, wire rod, binders).
  
• Oversee preventive
  maintenance schedules for extrusion presses, drying ovens, and coating
  machines.
  
• Co -ordinate with
  procurement, R&D, and sales teams to align production planning with demand
  forecasts.
  
• Train and mentor
  junior production staff on welding electrode manufacturing best practices.
   
  

Requirements

• Hands -on knowledge
  of SMAW electrode manufacturing processes – extrusion, drying, coating, and
  testing.
  
• Familiarity with
  electrode classifications: rutile, basic, cellulosic, and low -hydrogen types.
  
• Understanding of
  welding metallurgy, weld quality parameters, and destructive/non -destructive
  testing.
  
•  Proficient in
  production planning tools, ERP systems, and MS Office (Excel -based MIS).
