Assistant Manager- Costing

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nKey Responsibilities \n1\\. Costing \u0026 Product Cost Analysis \n\u2022 Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads. \n\u2022 Analyze product margins, cost trends, and cost of goods manufactured. \n\u2022 Provide costing support for new products, engineering changes, and pricing scenarios. \n2\\. Inventory \u0026 Variance Analysis \n\u2022 Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation. \n\u2022 Analyze PPV, MUV, yield variances, labor efficiency, absorption variances, and overhead variances. \n\u2022 Monitor inventory aging, scrap trends, and obsolescence provisions. \n\u2022 Validate cycle count audits and drive annual physical inventory verification. \n3\\. Financial Reporting \u0026 Compliance \n\u2022 Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and financial analysis for management. \n\u2022 Support monthly closing activities (accruals, adjustments, journal entries). \n\u2022 Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, SOX compliances and company policies. \n\u2022 Ensure cost records comply with statutory requirements (Cost Audit, Cost Accounting Standards). \n\u2022 Ensure accuracy of cost-related general ledger accounts and support audits (internal/external). \n4\\. Budgeting \u0026 Forecasting \n\u2022 Drive annual cost budgeting, standard cost roll-up, and forecast updates for plant operations. \n\u2022 Support savings tracking for cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives. \n5\\. Operations Support \n\u2022 Work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and sales to provide timely and accurate cost information. \n\u2022 Support lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives with cost impact evaluations. \n________________________________________ \n \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nQualifications \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce. \n\u2022 Professional certification preferred: CMA / ICWA or equivalent. \n\u2022 8\u201310 years of experience in cost accounting or plant finance (manufacturing preferred). \n \n\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOM, inventory accounting, and variance analysis. \n\u2022 Proficiency in ERP systems (MFGPRO/QAD). \n\u2022 Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus. \n________________________________________ \nKey Competencies \n\u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n\u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy. \n\u2022 Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment. \n\u2022 Excellent communication and presentation skills. \n\u2022 Ability to work under tight deadlines. \n________________________________________\n
