We’re looking for a data-savvy, detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Product & Revenue Strategy team at JioHotstar. You will sit at the intersection of product analytics, revenue operations, and strategic insights, enabling the leadership team to make sharp, data-informed decisions. This role demands hands-on expertise with analytics tooling, a knack for maintaining high-integrity data pipelines, and the ability to convert raw numbers into compelling narratives for executive consumption.
* Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Product Analytics
- Build, maintain, and automate product analytics queries to power daily, weekly, and monthly executive reporting.
- Own dashboards and trackers, ensuring real-time accuracy and relevance for content performance monitoring.
- Write and optimize SQL-based queries on cloud data platforms for live events, tentpole IPs, and other high-impact content moments.
- Manage revenue trackers end-to-end—maintain data hygiene, update logic, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Create and manage behavioural cohorts to support user segmentation, lifecycle analysis, and personalisation experiments.
- Prepare data cuts for leadership reviews, delivering clean, cross-functional datasets on tight timelines.
- Track competitive app performance using mobile analytics and market intelligence tools, distilling market movements into actionable insights.
- Analyse cross-app audience overlaps and extract industry and competitor insights to inform content, marketing, and partnership strategies.
Revenue Management & Planning
- Maintain and update annual operating plan trackers with actuals, projections, and variance commentary.
- Consolidate revenue data across multiple ad formats, platforms, and regions into a single source of truth.
- Support annual planning cycles by structuring data requirements from business, sales, and content teams.
- Manage client mapping exercises and oversee structural changes in revenue reporting hierarchies.
- Calculate and monitor revenue impact metrics, tying content investments to monetisation outcomes.
- Maintain and enhance BI dashboards for revenue KPI tracking, ensuring uptime and data accuracy.
- Track ad format revenues and click-through rate metrics, identifying underperforming units and growth levers.
- Forecast and plan inventory and impressions for key shows, working closely with ad sales and content scheduling teams.
- Own periodic revenue reporting, delivering nuanced revenue and consumption insights for dedicated content verticals.
* Skills & Attributes for success
- Strong hands-on proficiency with product Analytics (cohort creation, funnel analysis, dashboard building) and SQL-based querying.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; ability to wrangle large datasets with speed and precision.
- Familiarity with revenue metrics: ad impressions, CTR, fill rates, eCPM, digital revenue consolidations, and AOP planning cycles.
- Impeccable attention to detail - you can spot a data inconsistency before it becomes a slide in the board deck.
- Comfortable managing multiple trackers and dashboards under tight deadlines.
- Clear communicator who can translate technical data points into executive-ready insights.
- A problem-solving mindset: you don’t just report what happened; you seek to explain why it happened and what should be done next.
* Preferred Education & Experience
Tier 1 graduate (IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/ISB) with 2–4 years of experience in product analytics, revenue strategy, business intelligence, or a similar data-heavy role - ideally within a digital media, OTT, or ad-tech environment.
