Job Description - Assistant Manager - Finance Business Partner

Provides financial and commercial support to a defined business area, assisting senior management in achieving budgeted and strategic financial goals.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Prepares month end management reporting, including understanding business drivers and critical metrics, to provide detailed insight. Develops skills through learning opportunities
- Coordinates and analyses financial data efficiently with a view to identifying trends, providing accurate commentary and recommendations
- Provides analytical and financial modelling support in the context of a broad range of financial indicators, and associated analysis, reporting and development
- Supports planning, budgeting and forecasting processes including quarterly re-forecasts, clearly articulating numbers, variances and drivers. Encourages improvements to processes as required
- Provides financial support in the assessment, development and execution of strategic proposals and cases
- Fulfils ad hoc reporting requirements in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree (or equivalent) and professional qualification
- Experience and proven proficiency in financial analysis, reporting and control.


Technical/Professional Skill:

  • Inquisitive mindset – The want to understand reasoning behind critical metrics. Analysing data, taking a step back and understanding why there are
  • Variances and digging deeper to find out more information proactively
  • Ability to explain analysis and insights in a way that is easy to communicate and follow
  • Proactivity – Finding out information and data to aid business decisions
  • Forward looking attitude using data and bring insights to form conclusions
  • Continuous improvement, changing processes to make processes more efficient and value-add
  • Displays curiosity to understand & partner the business / technology better
  • Provides subject matter expertise across sub-units
