The role involves strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and commercial negotiations, drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, governance, and business value while enabling enterprise-wide technology and digital transformation initiatives.

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

• Running MRP, Engaging / Followups with vendors & timely delivery of Packing material requirements at optimal costs would be the primary responsibility of the role.


• Implement & Execute strategies, initiatives & procurement plans.

Customer Service

• Placing call offs and ensuring PM availability for production


• Attending rejections and coordinating with vendors on replacements.


• Tracking activities and delivering all PM for NPDs timely.

Internal Processes

• Adhering to internal processes on vendor onboarding, price uploads, shade card management, code creations etc.


• Reporting on vendor call off adherence, Inventory, SLOB, SOB, Weekly & Monthly PM availability, Rejections, Disputes etc..

Innovation and Learning

• Identifying scope for vendor performance improvements & inventory reduction

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

• Engineering degree and/or Graduate / or MBA with 5+ years’ work experience in packaging material procurement in FMCG industry.


• Knowledge & prior experience in PM Procurement, vendor interactions, inventory management


• Knowledge in SAP & MS Excel

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

• Good team-working, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.


• Knowledge on commercial negotiations, Subject matter – packaging material and relevant markets.


• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
