Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Prod Ops/SRE Engr 1 – Agentic AI

In this role, you'll be part of Genpact's transformation under GenpactNext, as we lead the shift to Agentic AI Solutions—domain-specific, autonomous systems that redefine how we deliver value to clients. You'll help drive the adoption of innovations like the Genpact AP Suite in finance and accounting, with more Agentic AI products set to expand across service lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, including process management, memory utilization, storage, filesystems, and service troubleshooting.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues, including DNS resolution, TCP/IP connectivity, routing, latency, and load balancing.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient build, test, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Automate release engineering workflows to improve speed, consistency, and reliability of software delivery.
• Lead incident management processes, including on-call support, issue triage, and rapid resolution of production incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system resilience and operational efficiency.
  
  Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

·Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles.

·Hands-on experience managing Linux/Unix systems in production environments.

·Experience working in distributed systems and cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix system administration (processes, memory, storage, filesystems, system boot, and services).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and release engineering practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar for automation.
• Experience with incident management tools and practices, including monitoring, alerting, and on-call processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in diagnosing performance and system issues.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure during incidents and provide structured post-incident analysis.
• Good communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
