Position Assistant Manager - Commercial and Marketing Department Commercial and Marketing Location Redhills & Vallur - CFS Position Report to Business Unit Head - Chennai
Key Responsibilities
Drive EXIM volumes to achieve the Budget.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Commodities/Industry sector, including e-commerce companies, technology manufacturers, retailers, and distributors.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, and use this information to develop tailored business development strategies.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by proactively identifying and engaging potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, industry conferences, and referrals.
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the unique value propositions and benefits of our logistics services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth onboarding and seamless delivery of services to clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability while meeting customer requirements and market standards.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the technology and consumer durables sector, including senior executives, supply chain managers, and procurement officers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement and develop innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to the management team, highlighting key performance metrics, sales achievements, and areas for improvement.
Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to the technology and consumer durables sector and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in all business activities.
Cross selling of Other Logistics verticals. Identify BCO clients for continuous business support
Qualification & Competencies
Qualifications & experience
Graduation degree with First Class (60% and above) pass out.
Total experience of more than 8 years and should have worked with senior leadership for couple of years.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in CFS operation and commercial
Good Communication skills in English & Tamil language, both oral and written.
