We are looking for an
imaginative and detail -oriented Assistant Producer/ Producer to create
high -quality visual content for our BBC News Hindi service. You are not just
"making videos"; you are defining the visual identity of a story creatively and bring it to life through digital,
social, and TV platforms. Producer/Assistant Producer will be responsible for
error -free writing, editing and producing a range of digital content - in text,
video, and audio formats for our Website, TV, Social Platforms and podcasts, to
the highest professional standards

Key Responsibilities
 

• This role involves
  editorial control, video production and planning stories for Hindi
  service’s social media platforms.
  
• Use a range of video, audio and digital equipment and
  information technology to research, write, assemble, edit and deliver
  outputs in the appropriate medium, to the highest professional standards.
  
• Act as a final check for
  accuracy, impartiality, and legal compliance (Libel, Contempt of Court,
  and Privacy) before publication.
  
• You will pitch, develop
  original video concepts and text stories and
  oversee their execution from pre -production to post -production.
  
• Manage cross -platform
  responsibilities, working seamlessly across web publishing, video
  production, and on -screen presentation.
  
• This role will work for
  daily video/website output of BBC
  Hindi and ensure all content meets the BBC’s rigorous editorial standards
  while pushing the boundaries of digital storytelling. Present and deliver
  live segments, studio explainers, and digital -first video formats with
  confidence and clarity.
  

Requirements

Knowledge, skills, training and experience

• More than 3 years of
  relevant experience in a reputable media company, with published material
  showing a record of high -quality stories.
  
• Hindi language
  proficiency is essential along with strong English communication skills.
  
• Knowledge of National/International affairs and
  social -cultural issues
  
• You will be
  able to translate from English to Hindi swiftly and accurately, to produce
  error -free content that is relevant to BBC Hindi audiences.
  
• You will
  have experience of production techniques for Digital, Social and Video
  platforms.
  
• You will
  have experience of managing social media channels to build engagement and
  increase referrals back to the website.
  
• Knowledge of video
  production from ideation to final output.
  
• A broad understanding of
  the target audience is important.
  
• A high standard of
  editorial judgment and production skills.
  
• Ability to work under
  pressure and deliver material under tight deadlines.
  
• Strong interpersonal
  skills to work effectively with diverse talents
  
• Understanding of SEO,
  headlines, thumbnails, and audience metrics for web platforms
  
• Ability to spot stories
  early and understand why they matter for young and women audiences, and
  translate web stories into short, engaging video formats
  
• Confident and
  presentable on camera for explainers, digital videos, and live or recorded
  segments - proviso experience preferred.
