Assistant Property Manager Technical

Position Summary The Assistant Property Manager Technical supports property operations through technical expertise in building systems, maintenance coordination, and technology platforms. This role combines traditional property management responsibilities with specialized technical knowledge to ensure optimal building performance, tenant satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Building Systems & Maintenance Oversee preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, installations, and system upgrades. Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms to optimize performance and identify potential issues. Conduct regular inspections and maintain detailed records of all building systems and equipment.

Technology Management Manage property management software systems, including administration, work order management, and financial reporting platforms. Support implementation and troubleshooting of tenant technology services such as internet, telecommunications, and smart building features. Maintain digital documentation systems and ensure data accuracy across all technical platforms.

Tenant Relations & Support Respond to tenant technical requests and service issues promptly and professionally. Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, ensuring proper setup of building systems and technology services. Serve as primary technical liaison between tenants and building management, translating complex technical information into clear communications.

Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and coordinate required inspections and certifications. Maintain emergency preparedness protocols and assist in crisis management situations.

Required Qualifications Diploma / Bachelor's degree (BEEE) in Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 9 to 10 years of experience in property management, facilities management, or building operations. Strong technical aptitude with building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Property Management certification. Experience with building automation systems and energy management platforms. HVAC or other relevant technical certifications. Previous experience in commercial or corporate facilities management.

Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. Technical troubleshooting capabilities and mechanical aptitude. Customer service orientation with professional demeanor.
