Educational Qualification:
*Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized University.
Preference shall be given to candidates possessing:
*MBA / Master's Degree in Management, Commerce, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Law, or allied disciplines.
OR
*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) with MBA from a recognized University, possessing relevant administrative experience in a Higher Educational Institution.
Work Experience:
Minimum five years of administrative experience in a University, Engineering College, Autonomous Institution, Government Organization, or reputed Educational Institution.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in one or more of the following areas:
University Administration, Academic Administration, Establishment & Human Resource Management, Examination Administration, Statutory Compliance, Student Administration, Affiliation & Regulatory Compliance, Purchase & Stores, Finance & Budget Coordination, Legal and Administrative Documentation, ERP-based University Administration
Job Description:
The Assistant Registrar shall assist the Registrar in the overall administration of the School of Technology Management and Engineering and shall be responsible for coordinating academic, administrative, statutory, establishment, student, examination, and regulatory functions in accordance with the Maharashtra State Private Universities Act, the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations of SVKM NMIMS Global University, and applicable UGC, AICTE, and other statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registrar in the administration and day-to-day functioning of the School in accordance with University policies, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and applicable laws.
Coordinate academic administration including admissions, student registration, enrollment, academic records, academic calendars, and student services.
Supervise establishment matters relating to faculty and staff appointments, service records, leave administration, performance appraisal, contract renewals, and other Human Resource functions.
Coordinate meetings of statutory and non-statutory committees such as:
School Management Committee
Board of Studies
Academic Committee
Departmental Committees
Purchase Committee
Discipline Committee
Anti-Ragging Committee
Internal Complaints Committee
Other committees constituted by the University
Prepare and maintain:
Agenda Notes
Minutes of Meetings
Office Orders
Circulars
Notifications
Policy Documents
Official Correspondence
Administrative Reports
Ensure compliance with the provisions of the Maharashtra State Private Universities Act, University Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, UGC Regulations, AICTE norms, and directives issued by regulatory authorities.
Coordinate with the Examination Cell regarding examination schedules, student records, academic documentation, and examination-related administrative matters.
Coordinate admission processes, scholarship matters, student grievances, disciplinary matters, and student welfare activities.
Assist in preparation of reports and documentation required for:
UGC
AICTE
NAAC
NBA
NIRF
AISHE
State Government
University Authorities
Other Regulatory Bodies
Maintain institutional records, statutory registers, service books, confidential files, administrative databases, and digital records through the University ERP system.
Coordinate procurement, purchase procedures, inventory management, annual maintenance contracts, and administrative support services in accordance with University policies.
Assist in preparation of budgets, administrative planning, utilization reports, and financial documentation in coordination with the Finance Department.
Coordinate with government departments, regulatory authorities, affiliating agencies, industries, vendors, consultants, auditors, and other external organizations on behalf of the School.
Facilitate implementation of institutional policies relating to quality assurance, accreditation, governance, e-Governance, and administrative reforms.
Supervise and guide administrative and support staff working in various administrative sections of the School and ensure efficient office functioning.
Monitor implementation of University decisions, administrative policies, and directives issued by the Registrar, Vice-Chancellor, Dean, and other Competent Authorities.
Ensure proper maintenance, preservation, digitization, and confidentiality of official records, legal documents, contracts, service records, and institutional archives.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Registrar, Vice-Chancellor, Dean, Director, or Competent Authority in the interest of the School and the University.
