We are seeking an experienced Assistant Sales Manager with strong expertise in automobile retail sales, particularly in 4-wheeler / passenger car sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing customer relationships, converting leads, and supporting or leading a sales team.

The role requires strong knowledge of the automotive retail sales process and the ability to drive business performance through effective team management, customer engagement, and lead conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive achievement of monthly and annual automobile sales targets.
• Manage and monitor the performance of the sales team to ensure consistent target achievement.
• Generate, qualify, and convert leads into vehicle sales opportunities.
• Handle customer enquiries, understand requirements, and provide suitable vehicle recommendations.
• Manage the complete customer journey from lead generation and product presentation to negotiation, booking, and delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to improve satisfaction and referrals.
• Track sales pipelines, follow-ups, conversions, and individual team performance.
• Coach and mentor sales executives to improve productivity and conversion rates.
• Conduct regular reviews of sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to established automotive retail sales processes and customer service standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth vehicle booking, documentation, finance, insurance, and delivery processes.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer preferences, and local sales opportunities.
• Prepare sales reports and provide regular updates on targets, achievements, and pipeline status.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in automobile sales or automotive retail.
• Automobile industry experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience in 4-wheeler / passenger car sales is required.
• Experience handling sales targets and managing or supervising a sales team.
• Strong customer relationship management and lead conversion skills.
• Good team-handling, coaching, and leadership abilities.
• Strong understanding of the automotive retail sales process.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a target-driven and customer-focused environment.
