Job Description - Associate - Ad Sales

About the Team

Ad Sales Team supports Meesho’s advertisers in meeting their growth goals. Our objective is to increase the share of wallet as advertising revenue from these suppliers. Based on the supply mix available on the platform, the sales team will generate sufficient demand. It will handle large accounts and customize requests for suppliers and support in placing campaigns. Its objective is to make suppliers successful by growing business via advertising and increasing advertising spending on the platform.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and highly-motivated person to help scale Ads in Meesho. Advertising is our flagship monetisation vertical, and it is the backbone of our monetisation strategy. We’re further strengthening our offering by continuously building ad offerings, better features in existing offerings, and improving targeting capabilities and shopper engagement.

\nWhat you will do
  • Develop a deep understanding of each mile of the operations to identify opportunities for improvement in our MIS, especially in Sales Operations
  • Conduct root cause analyses and evaluate tradeoffs between them using advanced data analytics tools (Excel and Google Sheets). SQL is a plus point
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are practical and effective and track their on-ground implementation to ensure compliance and sustained improvement
  • Led cross-functional teams to develop and implement projects to optimize processes and increase productivity For the ground Sales Team
  • Take daily stand-up meetings with TLs/KAMs to ensure the team is on track to achieve daily/monthly targets
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure that improvements are sustained over time
  • Communicate ideas and key findings in a logical and structured manner to senior management and other stakeholders 
What you will need
  • Candidates with 3 to 4 years of experience are welcome to apply
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in Excel, Google Sheets or any analytical tools is helpful
  • Passionate about deep diving into problems and driving changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen learning attitude, not afraid of trying and implementing ground changes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel as this is a regional role
  • Good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • For experienced candidates, experience in Driving Team in Sales Operations will be relevant
