This role is primarily onsite, supporting hands-on collaboration and operational needs essential to our business.

We are seeking an Associate Director, HR Employee Partner (HREP) to Pratt & Whitney sites across India, based in Bangalore. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, self-starting HR professional to help establish and shape the HR foundation for the site while driving key people initiatives and fostering a strong, high-performance culture.

Job Summary:

The role reports to the Director, APAC HR Employee Partner and partners closely with business leaders across Pratt & Whitney sites in India. Serves as the primary HR leader responsible for employee relations, engagement and compliance.

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, the HR Leader will partner with the business leaders to drive people’s strategies that strengthen organizational culture, enhance employee experience, and enable high-performing teams. Key areas of focus include leadership coaching, workforce planning, change management, employee relations, HR compliance, and the execution of strategic HR initiatives.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent, and Legal, the HR Leader will lead key HR programs, represent HR in leadership forums, and ensure the effective delivery of integrated HR solutions that support business objectives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, sound judgment, and exceptional coaching, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Leveraging data-driven insights and practical HR solutions, they will guide leadership decision-making, drive alignment, and support business priorities.

Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively within a complex, matrixed global environment and to proactively engage and influence stakeholders to achieve meaningful business and people outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to define goals and execute in-country hiring aligned to workforce plans for organizational startup and sustainment.
  • Own execution of the HR strategy in collaboration with global HR to ensure alignment across businesses.
  • Drive organizational transformation and continuous improvement priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and employee advocate to leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Influence leadership and act as a catalyst for change, delivering end-to-end HR solutions including talent acquisition, change management, performance management, leadership development, compensation planning, succession planning, employee development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Design and implement change strategies for large-scale initiatives, ensuring organizational readiness and capacity for adoption.
  • Analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans; communicate findings effectively to secure leadership buy-in.
  • Balance tactical execution and strategic HR priorities in support of business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health & safety standards.
  • Conduct internal investigations with discretion and professionalism; recommend appropriate actions and resolutions.
  • Navigate a complex, matrixed global environment and ensure compliance with local country regulations and policies.

  • Develop compelling, data-driven business cases that drive leadership decisions.

  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Design and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and engagement.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, audience-appropriate communications and visuals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 18+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and ability to apply them within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex issues.
  • Familiarity with Workday HRIS.
