Job Description - Associate Engineer - Product Stewardship and Sustainability
## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s Center for Sustainability is looking for energetic candidates with basic knowledge of product stewardship and can drive product compliance assessments for new and current products. This role entails project implementation support for product regulatory compliance for regulations like REACH, AD-DSL, ELV, RoHS, CP-65, POP and upcoming regulations for Eaton\u2019s broad portfolio of Filtration products. This work will help the Business to establish and release compliant product portfolio and continue Business in various markets.\n\nPrimary responsibilities of this role include, \n1) Support Filtration business in local product development and engineering services to the Global engineering team in the field of product stewardship. \n2) Study and understand customer requirements on product compliance and implement those into applicable projects. \n3) Works closely with India and global cross-functional teams (project engineering, Quality, Plant Mfg., Supply chain, Sales, etc.) \n4) Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities. \n5) Demonstrate curiosity and energy in studying upcoming regulatory requirements and communicate the findings to the team. \n6) Support continuous process improvements methods and adopt digital/automation tools to gain process efficiency.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelors (with 0 \u2013 2 year of experience) in Sustainability/Environmental science/Chemical/Mechanical/Electronics or Electricals engineering with curiosity and inquisitiveness in product stewardship in relevant industrial, vehicle, filtration product/process industry.\n\n## Skills:\n\n1) Strong understanding on basics of engineering, science, and arithmetic concepts \u2013 material, weight, volume, density, mass, units, and measurement methods, etc. \n2) Theoretical understanding of Product Stewardship and regulations like, AD-DSL, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS \u0026 Prop65 and other applicable regulations and basic interpretation. \nEnergetic and willing to collaborate with local / global suppliers for compliance data related activities. \n3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts. \n4) A flare for understanding of automation and Continuous improvement skills, dashboards, and digital skills is highly desirable.\n\nSoft Skills \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.\n
