About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Lead Data Scientist (ALDS) to work on complex data science, machine learning, and optimization problems across multiple industries.

The role involves working closely with clients to understand complex business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and deliver end-to-end AI & analytics programs. The position combines hands-on Data Science, Operations Research/Optimization, technical team management, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Solve complex business problems using Data Science, Machine Learning, and Optimization techniques.


• Engage with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.


• Develop and implement predictive models and statistical solutions.


• Work on Operations Research and optimization problems, including:

• Handle end-to-end AI & analytics engagements.


• Develop Data Science roadmaps and guide Data Scientists in project delivery.


• Provide technical direction and mentor team members.


• Estimate project effort, timelines, and resource requirements.


• Manage project execution, reviews, audits, and stakeholder communication.


• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal leadership.


• Contribute to internal Data Science product development initiatives.


• Support sales and pre-sales activities by providing technical inputs.


• Identify opportunities to build scalable solutions and improve project delivery.


• Develop technology strategies and roadmaps for client accounts.


• Drive business outcomes through insights derived from large and complex datasets.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 4–8 years of relevant Machine Learning / Data Science experience


• Strong Operations Research and Optimization background

• Strong programming experience in Python


• Good knowledge of SQL


• Experience with R / NoSQL / Spark is an advantage

• Experience developing Machine Learning models and algorithms


• Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing

Machine Learning & Data Science

Experience with algorithms such as:

• SVM


• Neural Networks


• K-Means / Clustering


• PCA


• Other supervised and unsupervised learning techniques

Experience with Python libraries/frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and other relevant ML/data-processing libraries.

Client & Leadership Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand business problems and expectations.


• Act as a technical advisor for client stakeholders.


• Lead technical discussions and solution design.


• Manage and allocate work across Data Science team members.


• Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against agreed timelines.


• Conduct regular project reviews and status meetings.


• Manage stakeholder expectations and project risks.


• Guide team members based on their skills, availability, and workload.


• Support business development, sales, and pre-sales initiatives.
