Associate Legal Entity Controlling (Operations)

About the role

We are looking for a talented candidate to join the India office of DESRI, i.e., DESRI India Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be a part of Legal Entity Controlling team and will regularly interact with the U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties. The candidate will be a part of a small, inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects within a dynamic environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prepare, review, and file U.S. GAAP-based financial statements for the company's renewable energy projects, investment funds, and corporate entities (collectively, the "Entities"), ensuring adherence to close timelines and control procedures. You will also maintain the books and records in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Additionally, you will prepare management reports, including EBITDA reports and quarterly project forecasted trial balances, while conducting budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual analysis.  You will liaise with auditors and ensure timely closure of external audits, as well as interact with U.S. and Hyderabad-based asset managers, treasury and tax team associates, and external consultants. Furthermore, you will be involved in reviewing financial information to be included in various regulatory reports, engaging in various forms of management and investor reporting, coordinating tax reporting, and furnishing investor account statements. There will also be opportunities to work on initiatives related to establishing, standardizing, optimizing, and documenting accounting processes, workflows, and controls.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold-

• A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree, and up to 1 year of work experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the renewable energy sector.
