Own and manage Impact Evaluation projects:
1. Take end-to-end ownership of at 1 - 2 projects, and meticulously break down workstreams, to ensure high outcome orientation.
2. Develop a deep understanding of project requirements, and the programme(s) being evaluated.
3. Lead the design of processes and procedures to achieve the required outputs, including but not limited to program design, analysis requirements, and stakeholder dependencies.
4. Coordinate with internal teams as well as external partners (State Governments, Assessment Vendors, Experts and NGOs) to deliver the required project outputs.
5. Develop strategic roadmaps, implementation plans, and risk mitigation plans.
6. Lead the production of high-quality outputs as required for projects, such as research design, data collection tools, analysis frameworks, reports, and other collaterals.
7. Set up and maintain project management processes and guidelines, including sending weekly update emails to internal and external stakeholders.
8. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, to ensure the required buy-in, and obtain the required inputs, permissions, and resources.
9. Maintain thorough documentation of the project, including but not limited to processes, collaterals, and reflections.
Mixed-methods and Qualitative Research Design, Data Collection and Analysis:
1. Design qualitative and mixed-methods research studies, including developing research questions, research methodologies, sampling approaches and data collection and analysis tools.
2. Co-lead the data collection with the operations team, including leading specific aspects of researcher hiring, training, data audits, and data storage.
3. Design and implement data-quality audit processes for qualitative data collection.
4. Take end-to-end ownership of qualitative data analysis and insight generation workstreams.
5. Create accurate and reproducible analysis while adhering to timelines.
6. Develop analysis templates, and test / implement tools and processes to automate repetitive / frequently required analysis.
7. Ensure the use of simple, intuitive, and accurate data visualizations and representations for qualitative data across all projects and deliverables.
Organizational Development:
1. Ensure capacity building and training of the team through regular learning and development.
2. Lead activities to build and strengthen internal expertise around qualitative data collection, analysis and visualization / representation.
3. Expand the scope of projects through the dissemination of high-quality insights and learnings in the form of articles, blogs, and research paper summaries.
4. Travel for project needs, and document trip reports of the same appropriately.
Skills & Will | |
Must Have | - Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years successfully leading large-scale qualitative or mixed-methods research (preferably in education) - Strong understanding of the Indian education system, particularly government school classrooms, students, and teachers - Stakeholder expectation management and negotiation skills - Strong analytical, prioritization, multi-tasking and negotiation skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders |
Good to Have | - Experience in quantitative research and analysis - Proficiency in developing comprehensive reports and documents - Experience in organizing and conducting large-scale training programs |
- Master's degree in Education, Sociology, Anthropology or a related field
- Strong understanding of qualitative and mixed-methods research - both design and implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), MS Office suite, and project management tools
- Proficiency in GenAI tools, especially for data analysis
- Experience in managing large-scale projects
