Job Description: AM / Manager- Indirect Tax

Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore

About The Gig

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Executive/Senior Executive – Indirect Tax to manage GST compliance, tax reconciliations, audits, and advisory activities while ensuring adherence to statutory regulations. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.

What you’ll do

• Manage end-to-end indirect tax compliance including GST.


• Ensure timely filing of monthly, quarterly, half yearly (ITC-04) and annual GST returns and statutory compliances.


• Review GST reconciliations, input tax credit (ITC) workings, and tax payments.


• Handle GST audits, departmental notices, assessments, and litigation support.


• Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and ensure compliance across business operations.


• Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants for tax-related matters.


• Prepare management reports and compliance dashboards periodically.


• Support tax planning initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities.

What You Bring

• Semi Qualified CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / Commerce Graduate with relevant experience.


• 4–14 years of hands-on experience in indirect taxation, preferably within a manufacturing and trading industry.


• Strong knowledge of GST laws, return filing, reconciliations, audits, and assessments.


• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.


• Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Experience in independently managing the entire indirect tax compliance function.


• Ability to handle multiple entities/locations and interact with tax authorities.
