Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives for sheet metal components including stampings, weldments, assemblies, and fabricated parts.


• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as Supplier PPM, rejection trends, warranty concerns, and production loss incidents; drive improvement actions.


• Lead supplier issue resolution using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.) and ensure effective CAPA implementation.


• Conduct supplier process, product, and system audits; ensure timely closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.


• Support supplier evaluation and qualification activities for new supplier development and onboarding.


• Drive APQP activities and ensure timely PPAP approvals for new product development and localization projects.


• Manage supplier process, tooling, material, and engineering changes through established change management processes.


• Develop supplier capabilities in sheet metal manufacturing, welding, surface treatment, and other special processes.


• Collaborate with Sourcing, Design, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to achieve quality, cost, delivery, and project objectives.


• Ensure compliance with IMS, customer-specific requirements, and quality standards while maintaining supplier quality dashboards, reports, and continuous improvement initiatives.
