## \nCompany:\n\nQualcomm India Private Limited\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Systems Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nThe Audio Systems team is looking for a highly motivated Audio HW Systems Engineer with deep expertise in MIPI SoundWire and SDCA, and a passion for influencing industry standards through active participation in the MIPI SoundWire Working Group.\n\nIn this role, you will work with a diverse team of HW Systems, Audio Systems, Algorithm, and Software experts to define, architect, and deliver next-generation audio codecs and SoundWire-based subsystem solutions for mobile phones, compute platforms, XR, automotive, and a wide range of IoT devices.\n\nMembers of the team enjoy working at the intersection of industry standardization, system architecture, and real-world product deployment, contributing technologies that shape future specifications and are commercialized at scale on Snapdragon platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\u2022 Lead and contribute to MIPI SoundWire and SDCA standardization efforts, in cluding active participation in SoundWire Working Group discussions, reviews, and proposals\n\n\u2022 Drive SoundWire and SDCA architecture definition for audio codecs, speaker amplifiers, and audio subsystems across Qualcomm platforms\n\n\u2022 Define and review SoundWire HW-SW interfaces, data/control flows, discovery, enumeration, synchronization, and power management\n\n\u2022 Support end-to-end HW\u2013SW system design, development, prototyping, validation, and commercialization of audio solutions\n\n\u2022 Collaborate with internal algorithm, software, and platform teams to ensure robust, power-efficient, and scalable HW-SW implementations\n\n\u2022 Support customer engagements involving Audio Codec, Speaker Amplifier, debugging, and performance optimization\n\n\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment\n\n\u2022 Self-starter mindset with strong ownership and accountability\n\n\u2022 Excellent verbal, written, and technical presentation skills\n\n\u2022 Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a globally\n\ndistributed team\n\n\u2022 Aspiration for technical excellence and industry leadership\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n\u2022 Solid knowledge of audio interfaces such as SoundWire, I2S, Slimbus, PCM, PDM\n\n\u2022 Solid background in Audio Codec, Speaker Amplifier, and SoundWire-based system architectures\n\n\u2022 Proficiency in end-to-end audio system prototyping and integration \u2022 Experience with audio codec HW system design (analog, digital, or mixed-signal) \u2022 Understanding of HW\u2013SW co-design, control/data plane interfaces, and embedded system constraints \u2022 Hands-on experience with audio subsystem bring-up, debugging, and validation on embedded platforms\n\n\u2022 Experience using Audio Precision and codec evaluation platforms\n\n\u2022 Awareness of recent trends in audio codec and interface standardization \u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and system-level thinking\n\n\\---\n\nEducation Requirements\n\n\u2022 Master\u2019s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n\n\n\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
