Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

About the Job 

Introduction to PwC Service Delivery Center 

  • PricewaterHouse Coopers Service Delivery Centre (Kolkata) Private Limited is a joint venture in India among members of the PriceWaterHouse Coopers network that will leverage the scale and capabilities of the network. It is a member firm of Pricewaterhouse Coopers International Limited and has its registered office in Kolkata, India. 
  • The Delivery Center will provide a professional an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the ability to develop process and quality based skills. 

Reporting structure & key relationships

This should include detail on:

  • Line Manager 
  • Number of reports (if applicable)
  • Priority team relationships 
  • Key client relationships 
  • Working for a variety of client engagement teams from PwC network firms.

Job Description

Main purpose of the job and key background information:

1. Reporting & Analytics 

  • Preparation of recurring reporting for ExCom and project governance 
  • Production of reports in Power BI and/or PowerPoint 
  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly project and budget reporting 

2. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management 

  • Maintaining and improving PMO templates and documentation 
  • Ensuring our SharePoint knowledge base is kept up to date and wellstructured 
  • Supporting process optimisation initiatives, including embedding AI (e.g., creation of agents) 

3. Financial Monitoring & Cost Control 

  • Monitoring project budgets, forecasts, and variances 
  • Supporting financial tracking and ensuring cost transparency 
  • Preparing financial summaries for governance meetings
  •  

4. Change & Communication Support 

  • Preparing communication materials and stakeholder updates 
  • Assisting with change impact assessments and coordination 
  • Supporting communication planning across workstreams 

5. Adhoc Support to Project Managers 

  • Preparing slides, summaries, and materials for steering committees and governance forums 
  • Supporting workshop or meeting organisation 

6. Resource Management 

  • Supporting the endtoend resource management process 
  • Organising alignment meetings with key stakeholders 
  • Managing resource bookings (currently in Talentlink; future migration to Team Builder) 
  • The profiles should demonstrate strong organisational skills, accuracy in reporting, and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (including Sharepoint site, Copilot and Power-Bi). 

Requirements

These should include essential & desirable requirements such as: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent with Minimum 4 years of experience. 
  • Independently manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision ensuring timely and accurate completion. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat 
  • Team player, committed to providing high quality and maintaining timeliness 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development 
  •  Commitment to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes.
