AutoCAD Draftsman

The AutoCAD Draftsman (Water Treatment Plants) is responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings related to mechanical structures, piping systems, and isometric diagrams. The draftsman will collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure accurate representation of mechanical and piping designs, following industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Develop and create detailed technical drawings of mechanical structures, including steel frameworks, support systems, and equipment installations.

2. Translate engineering specifications and calculations into accurate structural drawings and layouts.

3. Create and modify piping layouts, routing, and isometric drawings for industrial projects (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing).

4. Develop pipework drawings including plans, elevations, and sections based on process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

5. Ensure correct pipe sizing, material selection, and fitting details in drawings, adhering to project specifications and applicable codes.

6. Prepare isometric drawings that reflect the true lengths and angles of pipes, considering allowances for expansion, contraction, and thermal stresses.

Experience:

1. 2+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting with a focus on mechanical structures, piping systems, and isometric drawings.

2. Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical and piping design.

3. Experience in sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial manufacturing.
