AutoCAD Draughtsman - Mumbai

Location: Mumbai (Workplace-based role)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (5-day week) + Alternate Saturdays

Work Mode: Fully On-site

Interview Process: 1st Round – Video Call (VC); 2nd Round – Face-to-Face (F2F)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field


• 1–3 years of experience in planning, drafting, or a related role


• Must hold AutoCAD certification


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


• Working knowledge of 3D drafting/modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) is preferred


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication, along with interpersonal abilities


• Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Key Responsibilities

Planning Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones using MS Project, MS Office, or similar tools


• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose timely corrective actions to meet deadlines


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define resource requirements (manpower, materials, equipment)


• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders


• Conduct site visits for measurements, surveys, or client meetings as required

Drafting Responsibilities

• Create, review, and update technical drawings, blueprints, datasheets, and schematics using AutoCAD


• Modify existing designs based on evolving project needs and client feedback


• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory norms


• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to resolve design-related issues during execution

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to align drafting and planning efforts with design intent


• Participate in regular project meetings and provide progress updates


• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address design, scheduling, or technical concerns
