Job Purpose:


Responsible for leading the company's business development strategy in the RMRW business by identifying growth opportunities, evaluating project feasibility, and driving both organic and inorganic expansion. The BD Head will oversee high-level financial analysis, bid management, and strategic stakeholder engagement to secure new business opportunities while also providing strategic recommendations to the executive team.



Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Market Analysis:



  • Direct comprehensive strategic analysis to identify growth opportunities in the industry, especially M&A opportunities.

  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospects by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financial potentials.

  • Evaluate project feasibility based on technical complexity, revenue capability, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.

  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory policies, acts, and laws on business operations and strategic positioning.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on market insights and trends.


 


High-level Evaluation and Financial Oversight:



  • Drive the development and execution of strategies for both organic and inorganic growth, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives.

  • Lead the evaluation of new projects, considering technical, commercial, risk management, logistics, and financial viability aspects.

  • Supervise the development of robust financial models and detailed cost analyses for bid submissions.

  • Present complex financial and strategic findings to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making.

  • Offer high-level insights and guidance to inform corporate strategy and investment decisions.


 


Executive Bid Management and Contract Strategy:



  • Oversee the assessment of commercial and non-commercial parameters of RFPs and agreements within bidding documents.

  • Direct the preparation and submission of pre-bid queries, advocating for advantageous changes to tender and contract clauses.

  • Ensure thorough evaluation and preparation of documents for final bid submissions, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

  • Lead the bid submission process, including the strategic preparation and submission of financial bids.

  • Integrate cross-functional insights into strategic planning and execution for bidding processes.


 


Strategic Stakeholder Management:



  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to secure business opportunities.

  • Facilitate high-level collaboration with internal departments to gather essential data and insights for bidding, evaluation, and financial modeling.

  • Mentor and guide the Business Development Team, fostering a culture of excellence and strategic alignment.

Qualifications

Education Qualification:


CA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent


Work Experience (Range of years):


15-20+ years of relevant experience


Preferred Industry: Infrastructure
