AWS DevOps / Java Backend Developer

​​​​ Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong AWS DevOps expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native backend applications while managing a small AWS environment, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support activities.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design and develop scalable Java-based backend applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.


• Build and maintain secure REST APIs for enterprise applications.


• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.


• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.


• Perform code reviews and enforce coding best practices.

AWS Environment Management

• Manage and maintain a small-to-medium AWS environment.


• Provision and configure AWS resources including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and networking components.


• Monitor application and infrastructure health using CloudWatch and logging tools.


• Implement security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, backups, and patch management.


• Support production deployments and operational troubleshooting.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.


• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.


• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments.


• Automate operational tasks and environment provisioning.


• Collaborate with QA and infrastructure teams to improve release efficiency.

• Experience with CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices.


• Strong understanding of Linux environments.


• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
