We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic AWS Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, automation, infrastructure modernization, and DevOps transformation initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to drive cloud-native best practices across enterprise-scale environments.

The candidate must possess strong experience in AWS cloud services, CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, security, monitoring, and container orchestration. An active AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient AWS cloud platforms for enterprise applications.
• Lead end-to-end cloud transformation and DevOps initiatives across multiple business units and engineering teams.
• Build and standardize CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and automation frameworks.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
• Implement cloud governance, security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment and operational excellence.
• Optimize AWS workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost management.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, or similar tools.
• Drive DevOps best practices including automated testing, release automation, version control, and continuous monitoring.
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native architecture, automation frameworks, and DevOps methodologies.
• Participate in architectural reviews, technical discussions, and strategic cloud planning initiatives.
• Ensure high availability and operational stability of production environments through proactive monitoring and incident management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture and DevOps engineering.
• Mandatory certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration, networking concepts, and cloud security principles.
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and logging solutions in large-scale cloud environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and technical leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and governance frameworks.
• Experience handling enterprise-scale migration and modernization programs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and technical teams effectively.
