Azure Consultant

The Azure Consultant role is to manage and support applications, servers, storage, network and other services running on Microsoft Azure platform. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals and industry best practices. He would be responsible for maintaining business continuity, meeting all security and best practices recommendations.

Azure Consultant Responsibilities:

• Will be Responsible to provide Technical Support & consultation for customers using Azure Cloud
  

• Maintain & update the services running on Azure cloud
  

• Monitor key metrics of Azure resources
  

• Manage and support Azure AD, VPN, Compute, Storage, Databases, AVD, ASR, Azure Backup and Firewall
  

• Manage Active Directory (AD DS) infrastructure
  

• Improve monitoring and alerting systems by appropriate usage of automation
  

• Installation, configuration, and Administration of Windows servers on Azure
  

• Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers
  

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including network configuration.
  

• Provide clients with timely, professional, efficient, and effective technical expertise on Azure.
  

• Prepare managed services report and help customers to implement best practices recommendations including security
  

• Should be adaptable to different time zones whenever required
  

Requirements

Professional Skills

• Expertise on Azure AD, Compute, Networking, AVD, ASR, Backup and Firewall on Azure
  

• Expertise on Active Directory (AD DS)
  

• Experience in using PowerShell and CLI to manage Azure resources
  

• Knowledge of network services - DNS, Routers, Firewall, VPN, LDAP, SSH etc.
  

• A good understanding of LAN/WAN networking • Good knowledge of Windows servers
  

• Good understanding of active directory
  

• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  

Good to have:

• Knowledge of Linux operating system management will be an advantage
  

• Migration of on premises applications to azure cloud
  

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Database
  

Preferred Education

• B. Tech or equivalent degree (any field)
  

• Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification
  

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
