Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1-2 years of experience in Java or Python to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems. You will collaborate with frontend/mobile developers, product teams, and other engineers to develop APIs and services that power user-facing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java or Python.


• Build scalable and maintainable server-side components.


• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.


• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and write efficient queries.


• Debug production issues and improve application performance and reliability.


• Write clean, modular, testable, and well-documented code.


• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.


• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, product, and other cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional backend development experience.


• Strong programming skills in either Java or Python.


• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.


• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and software engineering fundamentals.


• Working knowledge of SQL and databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.


• Familiarity with Git and version control.


• Good debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Good to Have

• For Java: experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.


• For Python: experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.


• Exposure to caching, message queues, cloud platforms, microservices, or containerization.
