We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Backend Developer with 5–8 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java and Python and a solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. Experience with Node.js and C# will be considered an added advantage.
In this role, you will be responsible for building robust backend services and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications and services.
Build robust and secure RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications and third-party systems.
Develop backend solutions using Java and Python, following coding standards and best practices.
Design and implement efficient data models, database schemas, and data access layers.
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to ensure optimal data storage, retrieval, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high software development standards.
Optimize backend systems for scalability, security, and performance.
Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
Develop and maintain integrations with external APIs, services, and platforms.
Support application deployment, monitoring, debugging, and production issue resolution.
Stay updated with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
5–8 years of experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and Python.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases is an advantage.
Good understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Node.js for backend application development.
Knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with message queues, caching technologies, and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
