We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specalist 

In this role, you will: 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services using Python.


• Contribute to end-to-end solution design and coding, from requirements through to production support.


• Build reusable, efficient, reliable server-side components with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and clean code.


• Integrate APIs with databases, third-party services, front-end applications, and enterprise platforms.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, DevOps teams, and front-end developers to translate functional needs into technical solutions.


• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and deployment processes.


• Ensure compliance with security requirements, coding standards, and API governance best practices.


• Facilitate issue resolution to keep delivery on track and ensure functional issues are addressed through agreed solutions.
  

To be successful, you will 

• Strong hands-on experience building complex, scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python.


• Strong hands-on experience with Docker for containerizing Python applications and APIs.Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized APIs on Kubernetes


• Proven experience with Python web/API frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.Solid understanding of API contract design using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.


• Knowledge of API resilience and traffic-management patterns (rate limiting, throttling, circuit breaker, retry, timeout, fallback).


• Strong command of core Python (decorators, generators, context managers, typing, exception handling, package/module design).


• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server), including schema design and query optimisation.


• Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.


• Hands-on containerisation and orchestration experience using Docker and Kubernetes (e.g., Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps/Secrets, Ingress, autoscaling, health probes)
