Job Description – Background Verification Executive

About the Role

Company is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Background Verification Executive to handle employee/candidate verification activities at a client location in Navi Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate and timely background checks and maintaining verification records.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct background verification of candidates/employees as per client requirements.
  

• Perform verification of employment history, education, address, identity, references, and other relevant details.
  

• Contact previous employers, educational institutions, references, and other relevant sources for verification.
  

• Review and validate documents submitted by candidates.
  

• Maintain accurate records and update verification status in the system.
  

• Prepare verification reports and highlight discrepancies or adverse findings.
  

• Follow up with candidates and external sources for pending information/documents.
  

• Ensure all verification activities are completed within defined timelines.
  

• Maintain confidentiality of candidate and client information.
  

• Coordinate with the client HR team and internal team for verification-related queries.
  

Required Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
  

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  

• Good follow-up and coordination skills.
  

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  

• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  

• Good documentation and reporting skills.
  

• Ability to work independently at the client location.
  

Eligibility

• Graduate in any discipline.
  

• 1–3 years of experience in Background Verification, HR Operations, Recruitment, Verification, or related roles preferred.
  

• Candidates who have handled employee/candidate verification processes will be preferred.
  

• Candidates should be comfortable working from the client location in Navi Mumbai.
