As a Background Verification Associate, you will handle all aspects of employment screening, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of verifications. You will act as the primary point of contact for candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders, ensuring any discrepancies or issues are resolved efficiently. Your role will also involve identifying process improvements and maintaining data integrity throughout the verification lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, track, and complete comprehensive background checks, including employment history, education verification, criminal records, and credit checks.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of all background verification activities in HR systems.
• Ensure all verifications adhere to legal standards and organizational policies, including GDPR compliance.
• Serve as the primary contact for candidates, employees, and internal teams regarding background verification processes.
• Address and resolve discrepancies or issues arising during verification promptly.
• Liaise with third-party background screening agencies to ensure timely and accurate completion of verifications.
• Implement and uphold company policies related to background checks and data privacy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline the background verification process and enhance operational efficiency.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• 1–2 years of experience in background verification, HR administration, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
• Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements related to employment screening.
• Prior experience working with background screening vendors.
• Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, or background screening software.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timely execution of tasks.
