Banking Solutions Architect - Avaloq Specialist

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end solution delivery for Avaloq-based implementations, configurations, and enhancements. You will leverage advanced platform knowledge and domain expertise to support complex financial workflows, optimize processes, and ensure seamless integration with broader banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and enhance Avaloq platform solutions to meet business and operational needs.
• Lead the implementation of AQDQ-related functionalities with full lifecycle ownership across development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Wealth Management, Operations, and Technology to translate business requirements into scalable Avaloq solutions.
• Work with core modules and business types including STEX, ASSET, SECEVT2, and LETTER output stream processes.
• Perform ACP parameterization, solution customization, and performance optimization within Avaloq ICE IDE.
• Evaluate end-to-end financial workflows across FX, MM, Equities, Derivatives, and order/execution management systems.
• Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout solution delivery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, technical specifications, and design artifacts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with regulatory, operational, and technology standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• 13+ years of professional experience in financial services or technology.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Core Banking or Wealth Management platforms.
• Deep expertise in Avaloq AQDQ business logic, lifecycle management, and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of core platform tooling including Avaloq IDE ICE, parameterization, and platform utilities.
• Strong understanding of front-to-back banking processes across asset classes.

Preferred Skills

• Avaloq Certification (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with FIX protocols, Bloomberg integration, and market data systems.
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, Python, ReactJS, Angular, NodeJS, and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
