Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 1700000 (ie INR 15-17 LPA)

JobType: full-time

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Manager with 5–7 years of expertise in EPC Business Development within the energy sector, specifically focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end preparation and submission of EPC tenders and proposals for BESS projects.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EPC processes, be proficient in risk assessment, pricing strategy, and client engagement, and be able to coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver technically sound and commercially viable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender Review and Analysis

  • Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) documents to evaluate project scope, technical specifications, and financial viability.
  • Identify constraints, risks, and opportunities to inform the bidding strategy.

2. EPC Proposal Development for IPP/C&I Clients

  • Lead the preparation of EPC proposals for BESS projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimation teams to develop cost-effective pricing strategies.
  • Serve as the main client interface during the bid phase to ensure seamless communication.

3. Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Work cross-functionally to identify and manage potential risks.
  • Implement strategies to optimize costs and enhance proposal competitiveness.

4. Pricing Strategy and Market Positioning

  • Partner with finance and estimation teams to align pricing with market trends and internal financial goals.
  • Focus on delivering profitable yet competitive proposals.

5. Vendor and Client Coordination

  • Build and nurture relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms and delivery timelines.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and tailor proposals to deliver maximum value.

6. Contract Review and Negotiation

  • Support contract negotiations by reviewing terms and coordinating with legal and commercial teams.
  • Provide input on project timelines, cost structure, and deliverables during finalization.
