Billing Engineer Civil

The Billing
Engineer – Civil is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing all
billing-related activities for high-rise construction projects involving Mivan
shuttering technology. This includes client billing, subcontractor
billing, quantity estimation, reconciliation of materials, and coordination
with site execution and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Client
& Subcontractor Billing

• Prepare running account (RA) bills,
  final bills, and certification of subcontractor invoices based on executed
  quantities.
  
• Coordinate with clients and
  consultants for verification and approval of bills.
  
• Track work progress against BOQ and
  scope to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Take accurate measurements from site
  and drawings for civil, structural, and Mivan-related works.
  
• Prepare quantity take-offs for
  concrete, shuttering, reinforcement, finishing, and MEP embedments in
  coordination with execution teams.
  
• Ensure correct deductions and
  additions as per IS codes and contract norms.
  

Reconciliation & Documentation

• Reconcile quantities of key
  materials such as Mivan formwork, steel, and concrete.
  
• Maintain detailed logs and
  documentation for measurements, approvals, and changes.
  
• Track consumption and recovery of
  Mivan materials and other high-value items.
  

Rate
Analysis & Cost Control

• Support rate analysis for variation
  items and extra items based on market rates and DSR.
  
• Monitor cost trends and provide
  inputs for budget forecasting and cost optimization.
  
• Coordinate with procurement and finance
  teams for material cost tracking.
  

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with site engineers,
  planning, and accounts departments for smooth flow of billing data.
  
• Attend client meetings and support
  in justifying quantities and bill submissions.
  
• Resolve discrepancies in bills
  through site verification and clarifications.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in billing procedures for high-rise structures
  and Mivan works
  
• Strong measurement and estimation skills across civil
  and structural domains
  
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and contract
  billing formats
  
• Familiarity with IS codes, CPWD/DSR practices, and
  industry standards
  
• Skilled in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing
  software (e.g., ERP/SAP)
  

Work Environment:

• Based at project site or HO with frequent site visits
  
• Collaborative role with engineering, planning, and commercial
  teams
  

Requirements

• 5–10
  Years (minimum 2 years in billing for high-rise projects with Mivan shuttering).
  
• Certification in Quantity Surveying or Contract Management –
  added advantage
  
• Training in ERP-based billing systems – desirable
