Boiler Operator

Essential Job Functions:

1. To carry out all utility equipment’s breakdown activities. (Chilling plant, Cooling tower, Nitrogen plant, PWS, Boilers, TFHS and Pumps)


2. To attend the modification works.


3. To erection and commissioning of the new equipment.


4. To prepare and execute the equipment qualification and Re-Qualification protocol.


5. To operate chilled water, chilled brine, cooling water, purified water, nitrogen gas plant, compressed air system, boiler & TFHS and record the operational parameters in all log books.


6. To maintain online documentation.


7. To handover the equipment qualification and Re-Qualification reports to QA.


8. To calibrate the vessel and tanks.


9. To plan and carry out preventive maintenance as per PM schedule.


10. To ensure and updation of PM records, breakdown records, plant modification forms, cleaning records, sanitation records, utility log books, equipment history cards and cleaning schedules & records.


11. To make indent for all utility equipment spares.


12. To take measurements for contractor work. (Mechanical, Civil, Painting and HDPE work)


13. To check the contractors bills.


14. To ensure the plants continuous improvement activities.


15. To monitor the housekeeping at all plants.


16. To ensure and update the layout, schematic diagram and P&ID of all plants.


17. To plan the energy conservation activities and ensure the supply of utilities to meet user requirement.


18. To coordinate with documentation team at the time of audits, if required.


19. To handle of steam condensate recover and hot water circulation system.


20. To monitor and rationalize the water distribution system.


21. To coordinate and prepare the training related requirements and ensure its compliance.


22. To prepare and revise the standard operating procedure (operation, maintenance and cleaning SOP’s) related to utility.


23. Handling of GMP related system software application. (i.e., SAP, LMS, EDMS, EDAMS, etc.,)
