BOM Analyst

We are seeking an experienced BOM Analyst to manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, product configurations, and engineering change activities throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves ensuring BOM accuracy, supporting configuration management processes, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement initiatives related to BOM governance and digitalization. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, product data management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality functions.

BOM Management & Data Governance

• Create, maintain, and validate Engineering BOMs (EBOM) and Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM).
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of BOM data within PLM and ERP systems.
• Support product lifecycle activities through BOM analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Manage updates related to product structures, material information, and configuration records.
• Monitor BOM quality and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Configuration Management

• Manage product configurations and variant structures throughout the product lifecycle.
• Maintain configuration rules and ensure alignment with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Support implementation of customer-specific and market-specific product configurations.
• Coordinate configuration updates and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and implement configuration changes.

Engineering Change Management

• Coordinate engineering change requests and change implementation activities.
• Support review, documentation, and execution of engineering changes affecting BOM structures.
• Ensure proper communication of product changes to impacted functions.
• Maintain traceability and compliance records for all configuration and BOM-related changes.
• Participate in change review meetings and support change impact assessments.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Act as a central point of contact for BOM and configuration-related topics.
• Support issue resolution related to product structures, configurations, and data management.
• Facilitate alignment between product development and manufacturing requirements.

Process Improvement & Digitalization

• Identify opportunities to improve BOM management processes and governance.
• Support standardization of BOM structures and product data management practices.
• Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives related to product data management.
• Contribute to process documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement programs

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Automotive/Mechanical/Production Engg.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in process improvement and data governance initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is an added advantage.
• Exposure to automation, digitalization, or system enhancement projects related to product data

• 6–8 years of experience in BOM management, product data management, configuration management, or related functions.
• Experience working with PLM and ERP systems.
• Understanding of product structures, BOM creation, and configuration management principles.
• Knowledge of engineering change management processes and product lifecycle management concepts.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
